What's included

Everything a Meta ad account needs to work

01

Tracking & Conversions API

Pixel and server-side Conversions API with proper deduplication, so Meta sees the sales and leads your browser tracking misses.

02

Creative strategy

Angles, hooks and formats planned from your customer research, then briefed, written and turned into ads we can test quickly.

03

Campaign structure

Fewer, better-funded campaigns that get out of the learning phase, instead of dozens of tiny ad sets that never do.

04

Placements across Meta

Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, WhatsApp and Threads, with creative cut for each placement and the ones that don't pay their way switched off.

05

Lead quality control

Higher-intent lead forms, qualifying questions and CRM feedback so Meta learns what a good lead looks like, not just a cheap one.

06

Honest reporting

Cost per purchase, cost per qualified lead and blended return across all channels, not just the numbers inside Ads Manager.

Why Meta ads work differently from Google

On Google, people tell you what they want and you show up. On Facebook and Instagram nobody is looking for you. You're interrupting someone who's scrolling past friends' photos, so the ad itself has to earn the stop.

That changes where the work is. A few years ago you won on Meta by finding clever interest audiences. Today most targeting is broad by default, and Meta's delivery system decides who sees your ad based on who responds to it. In practice, the creative is the targeting. An ad showing a busy parent's kitchen reaches different people from an ad about warehouse logistics, even inside the same broad audience.

So most of our time on Meta goes into three things: making sure Meta can see real conversions, feeding it a steady supply of genuinely different ads, and keeping the account simple enough that the algorithm has the data it needs to learn.

Where your Meta ads can run

One Meta campaign can reach people across several apps. We decide placement by placement, instead of leaving everything on automatic and hoping.

PlacementGood forHow we use it
Facebook feed, Reels & MarketplaceBroad reach, older audiences, local services, ecommerceStill the workhorse for most accounts. Feed and Reels get their own creative cuts.
Instagram feed, Stories & ReelsVisual products, younger audiences, creator-style contentVertical video first. For Instagram-led brands, see our Instagram ads agency page.
Messenger & WhatsAppBusinesses that close deals in conversation: clinics, trades, high-ticket servicesClick-to-message ads that open a chat instead of a form, with fast replies set up before launch.
ThreadsText-led brands and audiences that follow news, culture and techAdded as an extra placement once core campaigns are profitable, then kept only if it holds its own.
Audience NetworkCheap extra reach for app installs and some retargetingOften switched off for lead generation, where it tends to bring accidental clicks and junk leads.

How we run your Meta Ads

  1. 1

    Fix measurement before spending more

We check the Pixel, set up the Conversions API with deduplication and look at event match quality. If Meta only sees half your purchases, it optimises towards the wrong people and every other change is guesswork.

  2. 2

    Simplify the account

Meta suggests an ad set needs roughly 50 optimisation events a week to leave the learning phase. Most accounts we audit are split so thin that nothing gets there. We consolidate budgets so the algorithm can actually learn.

  3. 3

    Build a creative pipeline

We test concepts, not button colours: a new angle, a different customer problem, a founder video against a product demo. Usually three to five new concepts every two weeks, with the winners iterated on.

  4. 4

Line up the offer and the landing page

A great ad sending people to a slow page with a vague offer still loses money. We look at what happens after the click and suggest (or build) the fixes.

  5. 5

    Scale in steps

When something works we raise budgets gradually, typically 20-30% at a time, so performance doesn't collapse the way it often does after a big jump.

Which Meta campaign types we use, and when

Campaign typeBest forWatch out for
Advantage+ sales campaignsEcommerce with steady purchase volume and a catalogueNeeds reliable purchase data. Will happily retarget existing customers unless you tell it who they are.
Leads with instant formsLocal services, B2C offers, fast lead volumeCheapest leads, lowest quality by default. We use higher-intent forms and qualifying questions.
Leads or sales on your websiteHigher-value offers, B2B, anything that needs a proper sales pageCosts more per lead than instant forms, but the leads usually close better.
Click-to-message (Messenger, WhatsApp)Offers people want to ask about before they buyOnly works if someone answers quickly. Slow replies waste the click.
RetargetingVisitors, video viewers and engaged audiences who haven't convertedSmall audiences fatigue fast. Needs fresh creative and sensible frequency.

Is Meta advertising right for your business?

Meta Ads can be brilliant or a money pit depending on what you sell. Here's our honest take before you spend anything.

A good fit if…

  • You sell to consumers or to small-business owners (who are on Facebook and Instagram like everyone else)
  • Your product or result can be shown visually in a few seconds
  • Your margins or customer lifetime value can support testing for a month or two
  • You can supply photos, videos or product samples, or you're happy for us to brief creators

Probably not right if…

  • Your buyers are a narrow set of job titles at specific companies. LinkedIn Ads usually wins there
  • You need leads next week and can't afford a testing period
  • Your offer only makes sense to people already searching for it. Start with Google Ads
  • Nobody can approve new ads for weeks at a time. Meta punishes stale creative

Getting better leads from Meta, not just cheaper ones

The most common complaint we hear about Meta lead ads is that the leads are rubbish. Wrong numbers, people who don't remember filling in the form, tyre-kickers. It's a fair complaint. By default Meta optimises for the cheapest possible form fill, and those are exactly the people who tap a pre-filled form without reading it.

We fix it from both ends:

  • Add friction on purpose. Higher-intent form types with a review step, one or two qualifying questions, and copy that says clearly who the offer isn't for.
  • Connect your CRM. Qualified and closed leads get sent back to Meta, so campaigns can optimise for conversion leads rather than raw form fills.
  • Speed to lead. A lead contacted within five minutes is worth far more than one called tomorrow. We'll set up instant notifications or CRM automations if you don't have them.

Cost per lead usually goes up a little. Cost per customer, which is the number that matters, usually comes down.

What Meta ads management costs

Management starts at $1,199 a month on our PPC packages. The fee steps up in fixed brackets as spend grows instead of taking a percentage, so we're never rewarded just for spending more of your money.

On ad spend, we'd rather you started with enough budget to learn something within a month than spread a tiny budget over a quarter. For most lead generation and ecommerce accounts that means at least $2,000-$4,000 a month in media. Below that, we'll usually suggest getting Google Search right first. Our Facebook ads cost guide covers typical CPMs, costs per lead and how to set a budget in more detail.

FAQ

Questions, answered

Can't find what you're looking for? Talk to us directly.

Yes. Meta is the company behind Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, WhatsApp and Threads, and all of their ads are bought in the same Meta Ads Manager. "Facebook Ads" is the older name. A Meta campaign can run on one app or across all of them.
